Healthy Living: it’s not just about diet and exercise

The concept of Healthy living encompasses far beyond healthy balanced diet and active lifestyle. We agree that whenever the word healthy living pop's up in our mind the two basic idea which usually strikes is a nutrition proper balanced diet and a fit lifestyle. These are the prime components of healthy living. A healthy living diet provides us foods which are rich in nutritive consistence. A happy and balanced lifestyle generates high amount of energy which helps us to work for longer hours. Similarly an active and happy lifestyle makes our body muscles stronger , strengthen our bones which enable us to do any kind of activities. These are the components in Healthy Living but not only components. People are awakening the need of healthy living in their life but are restricted in respect of the meaning. If the base of an idea doesn't get clear in your head you cannot make healthy choices. The misconception of this generation is restricted upto healthy balanced diet and a exercise. There is so much more to be gifted by Healthy Living.

LET'S LAUGH IN HEALTHY LIVING. UNDERSTAND THE BALANCE OF HEALTHY LIVING.

To become healthy doesn't mean to starve yourself or only doing hardcore exercise with empty stomach. This only books a bed in hospital nothing else. While eating salads don't forget your chocolates.

Oops you got a reality check. Yes you heard that right healthy living is all about balance. So let's wipe out the misconception.

Healthy Living: Balance & Laughter

Healthy living is often associated with things like eating kale salads and hitting the gym, but let me tell you, my friends, it's not all about that! Oh no, there's so much more to living a healthy life than just diet and exercise. In fact, if you ask me, it's all about finding the right balance between being a responsible adult and embracing your inner child. Let me break it down for you in a funny, yet enlightening way.

First of all, let's talk about sleep. Sure, we all know we should be getting our eight hours of shut-eye every night, but let's be real here. Who hasn't stayed up way past their bedtime binge-watching their favorite TV show or scrolling mindlessly through social media? Sleep is important, but so is having a good laugh until your belly hurts. So, my friends, make sure to get your beauty sleep, but also make time for late-night laughter sessions with friends or funny cat videos. It's all about balance!

Now, let's move on to stress. We all know it's a silent killer, but have you ever tried to battle stress with a good ol' dance party in your living room? I highly recommend it! Forget about your worries, put on some funky tunes, and dance like nobody's watching. It's scientifically proven that dancing like a maniac releases endorphins, those magical little creatures that make you feel oh-so-good. So, next time you're feeling stressed, just shake it off and boogie your way to a healthier state of mind.

And what about socializing, you ask? Well, it's not just about meeting up with friends for brunch or joining a book club. No, no, my friends. It's about finding your tribe of like-minded weirdos who embrace your quirks and share your love for bizarre adventures. Surround yourself with people who make you laugh until milk comes out of your nose and who don't judge you for your weird hobbies like collecting rubber ducks or inventing new dance moves. Because, let's face it, life is too short to take seriously, so why not fill it with laughter and wacky memories?

Let us understand by an example

DENMARK'S HOLISTIC HEALTHY LIVING

One nation that promotes healthy living beyond diet and exercise is Denmark. Denmark is known for its holistic approach to health and well-being, emphasizing not only physical fitness but also mental and social well-being. The Danish government and society as a whole prioritize creating a healthy and balanced lifestyle for their citizens. Here are a few examples of how Denmark promotes healthy living:

Cycling Culture: Denmark is famous for its cycling culture. The country has an extensive network of well- maintained cycling paths, making it easy for people to commute and exercise by bike. Cycling is not only a means of transportation but also a way to stay active and fit.

Work-Life Balance: Denmark places a strong emphasis on work-life balance. Danish workers enjoy flexible working hours, generous parental leave, and ample vacation time, allowing them to prioritize personal and family life, reducing stress levels and promoting overall well-being.

Focus on Mental Health: Denmark recognizes the importance of mental health and provides extensive support and resources to its citizens. The country has a well-developed mental healthcare system, and there is a strong focus on reducing stigma and promoting awareness of mental health issues.

Social Cohesion: Denmark values social connections and community engagement. The Danish concept of "hygge" promotes a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, emphasizing quality time spent with loved ones. Strong social ties and a sense of belonging contribute to overall well-being.

Green Spaces: Denmark places a significant emphasis on access to nature and green spaces. The country has numerous parks, forests, and recreational areas where people can engage in outdoor activities, promoting physical exercise, relaxation, and stress reduction.

Overall, Denmark's approach to healthy living extends beyond diet and exercise, encompassing various aspects of well-being, including physical activity, mental health, work-life balance, social connections, and access to nature.

THE OTHER KEY FEATURES OF HEALTHY LIVING INCLUDES

Sleep, Stress, Social Well-being - A sufficient amount of sleep can make us refresh and rejuvenate.

Adequate sleep duration varies with age, but most adults need between 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night for optimal functioning. Quality of sleep is equally important as quantity. Deep and uninterrupted sleep cycles are essential for cognitive function, memory consolidation, and emotional regulation.

Lack of sleep or poor sleep quality can lead to a range of health issues, including decreased immune function, impaired cognitive performance, increased risk of accidents, and mood disturbances. Establishing a regular sleep routine, creating a comfortable sleep environment, and practicing good sleep hygiene habits (such as avoiding electronic devices before bedtime) can promote better sleep.

Stress: Stress is a natural response to challenging situations, but chronic or excessive stress can have detrimental effects on physical and mental health. Prolonged stress can lead to an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases, weakened immune system, digestive problems, and mental health disorders like anxiety and depression. Effective stress management techniques, such as regular exercise, deep breathing exercises, meditation, and engaging in hobbies or activities that bring joy, can help reduce stress levels.

Building a strong support system, seeking professional help when needed, and practicing time
management and prioritizations can also contribute to stress reduction. Developing healthy coping mechanisms and adopting a positive mindset can improve resilience and better equip individuals to deal with stressors.

Social Well-being: Social well being establishes connections. Strong social support systems can enhance emotional resilience, reduce the risk of mental health issues, and improve physical health outcomes. Engaging in social activities, maintaining meaningful relationships with family and friends, and participating in community events foster a sense of belonging and promote social well-being.

Loneliness and social isolation have been linked to an increased risk of various health problems, including cardiovascular diseases, depression, and cognitive decline. Building and nurturing social connections can be achieved through volunteering, joining clubs or organizations, participating in group activities, and reaching out to others.

Healthy communication, active listening, empathy, and respect for others' boundaries are essential aspects of maintaining positive social interactions and fostering social well-being.

Lastly, let's not forget about indulgence. Yes, I said it. Healthy living involves treating yourself every once in a while. Life is too short to deny yourself the pleasure of a gooey chocolate chip cookie or a slice of pizza dripping with cheese. So, my friends, enjoy your kale salads and green smoothies, but don't forget to indulge in a guilty pleasure every now and then. Just make sure to savor every bite, because guilty pleasures are meant to be relished.

So, my friends, remember that healthy living is not just about diet and exercise. It's about finding the PERFECT BALANCE BETWEEN RESPONSIBILITY and SILLINESS. Embrace your inner child, dance like a maniac, surround yourself with laughter, and indulge in life's little pleasures. After all, laughter is the best medicine, and a healthy dose of laughter every day will keep the doctor away. Now, go forth and live your best, hilarious, and healthy life!
